VelveFlix (velveflix.com) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. We comply with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and respond to valid takedown requests, and we honor analogous procedures under applicable law in other jurisdictions.
VelveFlix is an informational movie and TV guide. We do not host, store, upload, or stream any video content on our servers. The Site displays metadata, trailers, and “Where to Watch” links, and may embed or link to media hosted by independent third-party providers. We have no control over content stored on those third-party platforms.
If your copyrighted work is being made available through a third-party platform that we link to or embed, the most effective remedy is usually to contact that hosting provider directly, as they are able to remove the source file. Nevertheless, if you identify a link or embed on our Site that points to allegedly infringing material, we will promptly disable or remove that link or embed upon receiving a valid notice.
To request removal of a link or embed, send a written notice to our designated copyright agent at dmca@velveflix.com (example address — to be confirmed by the site owner). Your notice must include all of the following:
Upon receiving a complete and valid notice, we will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the identified link or embed and will keep a record of the request. We may forward your notice (including your contact details) to the relevant third-party host so the underlying file can be addressed.
If you believe a link or embed was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice to dmca@velveflix.com including: your signature; identification of the material removed and its prior location; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification; and your name, address, and telephone number with consent to jurisdiction as required by law.
We may, in appropriate circumstances, disable or terminate access for users or remove references that are the subject of repeated valid infringement notices.
Note: Submitting a false or bad-faith notice may expose you to liability for damages. If you are unsure whether material is infringing, consider seeking legal advice.
